Mediation/negotiation process

Every mediation/negotiation process differs depending on individual circumstances; however, the mediator's role is to assist and facilitate effective negotiation between the parties in a neutral and safe enviroment. The mediator facilitates communication between the parties, helps the parties identify interests and determine where their interests merge or conflict. Through effective communication and interest based negotiation the parties are able to build agreements that provide mutual benefits.
